I have a bone to pick with people who call August the end of summer. Technically, fall does not start until late September, and the summer weather peaks in August, in my opinion. However, since kids go back to school, and everybody is anxious to get to pumpkin season, I wanted to squeeze one more gift guide in that features items for summer. Please enjoy my end of summer gift picks!
For Dining Al Fresco
Let’s start with end of summer outdoor activities. I love eating outside during summer nights when the air cools off a bit and there’s a nice breeze. Keep this going in August! What you’ll need:
- Cozy beach blankets, like this one.
- Picnic gear to hold up your wine bottles and glasses! Enter this Picnic Wine Holder. or this wine table.
- Get a set of can coolers to keep your drinks cold in the heat. The ones I linked are customizable with photos and text
- As a nice little bonus, pick up a fancy jam gift set to bring to the host of your end of summer bbq’s and parties.
- Don’t forget a wrap from Bleusalt to stay warm as the night gets chilly.
Bath + Body
Now on to bath and body products, emphasis on delicious summer smells.
- Pick anything from Los Poblanos’ lavender products. I love the lavender salve and lotion.
- Put together your own gift set using hand made artisanal soap from Saipua.
- Osea makes a great set for summer skin. It has a scrub and oil for exfoliating and staying moisturized. It is called the Exfoliate and Glow Duo.
- Throw in a Sun Spirit Cooling Aloe Mist to refresh and relax.
Easy DIY
Lastly, if you are up for an easy DIY gift idea –
You could buy these super cute rose-colored mason jars, and fill them with a dried flower bouquet that will last you year-round. Hadley & Wren makes the most beautiful dried bouquet arrangements in different sizes.
I hope you enjoy these end of summer gift picks. Don’t listen to the haters and keep enjoying your summer through September!
