As a first time parent, figuring out what you need on your baby registry was super overwhelming for me. We did a ton of research, asked new parents what worked for them, and then made decisions based on what we think would work best for us. To spare you the hours of work building your registry, I’m sharing everything you need here!
Some Baby Registry Tips
- Silicone bibs are way easier to clean.
- Don’t be afraid to include postpartum mommy items.
- Halo sleep sacks and Ollie swaddles came highly recommended from all the parents I spoke to.
- Everyone will buy you cute baby clothes. When building your registry, focus on the practical and essential stuff.
- Get a travel bag that transports wet and dry dirty clothes.
- Get a white noise machine.
- When possible I chose organic products (this is just a personal preference).
- Get an extra breastfeeding pillow cover to plan for the inevitable.
- Humidifier is a game changer.
Try not to stress about having everything. I am planning on figuring out what we need and what works best for baby as we go. This list is a great start for the parents who don’t know where to start when building a baby registry. Alternatively, if you are buying a gift for expecting parents who don’t have a baby registry, or you are not sure what to get, I hope these suggestions are helpful!
