For the most part, wedding-related gifts are usually pretty easy to navigate because the couple has already registered for exactly what they want! However, there are so many events involved with a wedding – the engagement parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, bridal showers, and the wedding itself. And if you are getting married, you often want to find gifts for the lovely people in your bridal party, shower hosts, etc. When you need gifts for every wedding event, you may find yourself running out of ideas sooner than you think!
I find this time in life to be so much fun, having recently experienced it all myself. We got married in 2021 after postponing a full year because of the pandemic. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I absolutely loved wedding planning and I would do it all over again. I also had a fantastic wedding planner who was a consummate professional and took care of every last detail, thanks Rebecca! It was so much fun to be able to plan a whole day reflective of who we are and what our personal style is. Also, my wedding photos featured in this post are from my incredible photographer Daniele (lavenderandtwine.com).
This is your stop to find fun and meaningful options for gifts for every wedding event.
engagement party gifts
Most couples have not yet had a chance to register for gifts by the time they have an engagement party (I know I hadn’t), and it can be tough to know where to start when you don’t know what the couple needs. The most full proof strategy is to get something sentimental to commemorate the occasion. More on that below. We got engaged at the Ojai Valley Inn and it is still my most favorite day of my life.
engagement gift ideas
- A framed photo of the couple is a great idea, and you can customize it with the date they got engaged. Anything from Artifact Uprising or Minted would be perfect for this. You can create your own design.
- celebratory coasters and champagne flutes (you can’t have enough of these)
- Champagne always!
- trays or vases for the couples’s home
- wedding memory box
Bachelorette party gifts for guests
If you are planning a bachelorette, you have your hands full. You need cute bachelorette party decorations, goodie bags, matching outfits, etc. that don’t break the bank. No matter what your theme is, I’ve put together a few fun ideas for the bachelorette party attendees.
My maids of honor bought matching tropical-themed tote bags for all of the bachelorette party guests. They also had sheet masks, sunscreen, candy, and hand sanitizer sprinkled all over the house.
bachelorette party gift ideas
- Totes – these are cute
- Sunglasses
- Sarongs, alternative (cost-effective) options at Amazon
- Mimosa bar! just bring fruit, juice, edible glitter (yes, that is a thing!) and you’re set (Thanks to my sis-in-law T-Rad for my fabulous mimosa bar pictured above)
bridal shower gifts
So this is usually pretty straight forward because most couples register for gifts. However, I still think it is helpful to tell you, IMO, my absolute favorite gifts I received. They were not necessarily the ones I thought I would be the most excited about. There are three, and they (unintentionally) are all at different price points. So let’s start with the fanciest and work our way down.
- The Le Creuset Dutch Oven is WORTH IT
- I use the Nutribullet EVERY DAY
- The veggie chopper brings me JOY.
Let’s talk about all three of these.
Each would make great gifts for every wedding event.
Dutch oven – Obviously it is not cheap, so don’t feel pressure to purchase this unless you really want to go all out. It really can do whatever you want it to. We cook everything in it and it is relatively easy to clean besides it being super heavy. The food we cook in it tastes better compared to when we use something else.
Nutribullet – I have a smoothie every single morning and used to blend it in a regular blender, so the bullet was a game changer for me.
Veggie chopper – I actually didn’t open the veggie chopper right away because I was overzealous in registering for the kitchen gadgets and didn’t have room to put it anywhere. But when I did open it I realized how much time this thing saves you. Plus it makes this amazing sound when it slices your food. I literally cheer “yes!” when I use it.
Other things – the towel warmer is fancy, but also incredible. Juliska serving ware is so pretty and I’m now finding excuses to make snacking and charcuterie boards just so I can bust out one of their serving dishes or appetizer plates.
gifts for your bridal shower hosts
I know the bridal shower is all about showering the bride with gifts, but let’s not forget the lovely people who offered to host the bride’s shower. They have offered up their time and money to make the bride feel special, so below are some ideas for what to get your amazing hosts!
- Personalized jewelry – Gorjana is great for this. I gave my hosts monogrammed bracelets, but the rings that are linked here are really cute and you can engrave them.
- Mini candles from SB apothecary – my fave scents.
- Self care essentials – buy them a gift set from Osea – to chill out after they’ve been stressing about planning your shower.
gifts for your bridal party
Whether you want a fun way to propose to your bridal party, or you are giving gifts to your bridal party on your wedding day, below are some ideas that should have you covered. And here are some shots of the details from my wedding!
- Boxfox – I proposed to my bridesmaids with gift boxes from BoxFox. I chose to customize them rather than use the pre-curated bridesmaids boxes, because I wanted to pick my gifts for each girl, but either is a great option.
- Monogrammed drink ware – I feel like this is a bit fancier than a flask and I like it.
- Water bottles – I just found these. They are so cool and filter your water!
- Dry shampoo minis – the Oribe dry shampoo is my favorite.
- Nail polish – I love this set, but it works just to get one or two colors to keep it cost effective.
- Watches for the guys – Ryan got these for all of his groomsmen and our two dads
- Framed photographs – this is always a good idea. You can use Artifact Uprising, Minted, Shutterfly to name a few.
I hope you were able to find some inspiration from this post in finding gifts for every wedding event. Happy gifting!
