January is all about resetting. I don’t usually do resolutions, because I think they can lead to putting too much pressure on yourself or on the year ahead. However, I do think the beginning of the year is a good time to think about your goals for the future, rest, and make some plans to look forward to. After the rush of the holiday season, you are most likely burnt out on gifting. But we can’t forget about our January birthday friends. Since you are likely struggling to think of another gift after all of that holiday madness, I’ve rounded up some new year gifting inspiration that will cover you for all of your gifting needs in January. Think capricorns, cozy winter vibes, and new years resolution-ish themed gifts.
Gifts for Relaxing and Resetting
We all spend so much time on our devices, so January is a great time to take a bit of a break. For your friend who is craving a brake from technology, get the Digital Detox Kit.
Pair that with these microwavable slippers and this luxurious robe, and you are ready for some rest and relaxation.
Some other good relaxation-vibe gift ideas –
- The Solawave Facial Wand – I’ve been wanting to try this because it looks easier to use then the big LED light face masks.
- This bath tub caddy is on sale, and you can stock it with some bath essentials, like the bath soaks from Salt Cave SB.
- Fancy Matches – to light your candles.
New Year Gifting for the planner
The beginning of the year is a great time to get organized. I love all of the supplies from Appointed. One of my goals in the new year is to start journaling more. They have some sleek journal options here.
Sugar Paper LA also has really cute journals, planners, and calendars that you can customize with a monogram. I love this one.
If travel plans are in the future, get these Apple Air Tags so that luggage will never get lost again.
Resolution-ish Gift Ideas
I’ve included a few gift ideas that are inspired by my own New Year’s resolutions. I got a kindle during the holidays and my goal is to read more this year. First up on my list is The Untethered Soul and The Daily Laws. I started the Daily Laws last year, but January is the perfect time to pick it back up, as it gives you a page to read for each day of the year. I also want to read The Midnight Library.
If the goal is to cook more, get a Green Pan set when they are on sale. They are a dream to cook with and easy to clean.
Other resolution-themed gift ideas –
- A bookmark (to go with the book recommendations),
- Headspace subscription – if you want to get into meditating this year, and
- Masterclass subscription, to learn something new.
