Valentine’s Day is the holiday to show love not just in romantic relationships, but to any of the important people in your life. I personally love this holiday as an opportunity to send girlfriends treats. So no matter how you choose to celebrate this year, I have Valentine’s Day gifts for you to choose from.
Flowers + Chocolate
This combo is the obvious traditional choice. Here are some of my favorite pairings.
- Sees strawberry truffles + Grace Rose Farm roses
- Venus Et Fleur preserved roses + Shari’s Berries chocolate covered strawberries
- County Line Florals mixed bouquet + chocolate cookies (I like homemade – recipe for the Texas Sheet Cake Cookies below is from the Pioneer Woman).
Valentine’s Day Gifts For HEr
My favorite Valentine’s Day gift is a spa treatment. Here are five spas to check out that offer gift cards, so they can decide what they want to book.
- Woodhouse Spa (TX area),
- Burke Williams,
- Pellequr (LA based)
- Escape Day Spa (LA based)
- Milk + Honey
For some fancier options –
- Terranea (SoCal based)
- Ojai Valley Inn (SoCal based)
- Four Seasons – their gift cards can be used for anything Four Seasons, so it doesn’t necessarily have to be spa related.
This is a good idea for pre-teens too. My dad used to get both my mom and I spa treatments for Valentine’s Day and I remember it made me feel so special.
If you don’t want to go the gift card route, here are some other ideas –
- Jewelry – this luv aj necklace, and anything Jennifer Behr but I like these earrings, For some more jewelry options check out this post.
- Romantic handbags from Demellier
- Scented body oil that shimmers from Tom Ford
- Riverbench sparkling rosé wine
Valentine’s Day Gifts For Him
I feel like guys sometimes get forgotten on this holiday and usually all of the pressure is on them. Some gift ideas for the guys –
- Personalized wallets and card cases. The one pictured above is Shinola.
- Cufflinks, which work great if you have a special occasion or wedding coming up.
- A nice watch. I like Nixon and MVMT.
Galentines Day
This section is my favorite. I love sending Valentine’s Day gifts to the girls. In the past I’ve sent gift boxes from BoxFox, and a candle gift set with sparklers from SB Apothecary. It is a really fun time to show your friends you love them. Here are some fun ideas.
- La Marca mini prosecco bottles
- Red nail polish,
- Candle sets from Diptyque
- Nars lip balms – these are the best because they are just enough tint but not too much. This set has the best color combo too.
- This spa-style headband to go with a self-care theme. and it comes in pink for the holiday.
Treats
If you want to make instead of buy, I made these heart-shaped and chocolate dipped rice krispies treats this year, and they were so delicious and easy to make! I repurposed my red and white Christmas sprinkles, and I made these vegan with vegan butter and dairy free chocolate and could not tell the difference.
Also, I didn’t have a heart shaped cookie cutter and made the shapes freehand. I don’t recommend this technique, because it was a little sticky, but it is doable if you are in a pinch!
Here is the recipe I used. As I mentioned above, I subbed earth balance butter and enjoy life chocolate chunks for melting.
